Getting married in the last 18 months hasn’t been the easiest affair, with lockdowns and isolation really putting a strain on people’s wedding plans. With that said, when there’s a will, there’s always a way, which was especially true for Jess and Ben! After a proposal at Girrakool loop track using a beautiful handmade sign, the happy couple decided last year was the one to get married in! Due to the restrictions at the time- there big wedding day plans where significantly minimized with only 10 guests were allowed.  It was the most stunning intimate day-  seriously check out they stunning elopement pics HERE (the emerald green dress is kinda everything) however, even though the ceremony was live streamed on facebook to family and friends who couldn’t attend Jess and Ben realised they wanted to celebrate with all intended guests, so they also had a wedding party this year to commemorate their marriage!

J and B met in primary school, went to the same high school and the same university - their first date was going to the movies when they were in year 10! Their spark, so to speak, grew as they did with time, and eventually they grew into the loved up couple you see in their stunning pics below. They continue to bond over a shared passion for living an eco-friendly lifestyle and encouraging each other to both chase their own dreams! On a side note- their reception food was all vegan and it was flippin amazing!!

I ask all the couples I photograph what their favourite thing is about each other, when I know this privileged info- it helps me get to the core of why they are choosing to spend their lives together. Ben’s favourite thing about Jess is that she’s supportive of the people she loves, and isn’t afraid to chase after what she wants, whilst encouraging others to do the same. Jess’s favourite thing about her hubby is that he’s an open minded guy who refuses to pre-judge anyone and is really open to growing as a person!
