Charlotte and Hamish tie the knot- The Anchorage, Corlette

I am crazy fortunate to be able to do what I love and meet so many epic couples, Charlotte and Hamish, who were married at the Anchorage, Corlette, gave me a flippin gorgeous wedding to shoot along with a heartwarming love story.

C & H have know each other since they were lining up for canteen in year 3- and it only (ONLY) took till then end of year 10 for them to start dating and they have been inseparable ever since. Hamish popped the big question at Hyams Beach down the South Coast. He did this the day before the anniversary - but according to Charlotte, there was a reason behind this - Hamish wanted her to wake up with the ring on the morning of their 8 year anniversary. Romance isn’t dead, folks!

They both genuinely love each other's company and finding so much of their joy in trying out new activities together. Most poignantly, after they lost three loved ones in the space of 14 days in October 2021, Charlotte and Hamish realised that they are stronger together, with their joint experiences teaching them to “enjoy life and each other’s company and not get hung up or worry too much about the small things.” Charlotte’s favourite thing about Hamish is his heart of gold - she always feels comfortable and safe as long as she’s with him. Hamish reciprocates and loves how caring and compassionate Charlotte is. 

Charlotte’s decision to have the wedding at the Anchorage was because of their love for the beach and the ocean, as they both love a good holiday (who doesn’t?)

A laid back and relaxed atmosphere was paramount to the overall feel of their wedding, as well as minimalism and a “light, bright and air” feeling. Charlotte just wanted her guests to have the best time and “enjoy the beautiful setting” - there’s not a doubt in my mind that they did just that!
